30 Days + Counting!

30 Days + Counting until Lucas' arrival.
Casey + I can't believe we will be parents in a month.
The past 9 months have just flown by.

I must say I officially feel pregnant @ week 36.
My back hurts, my stomach is cramping, nevermind the
random/unrecongizable body parts sticking out of my right side or the
fact all I want to do is sleep, but I can't get comfortable.  Therefore, I don't sleep.
Neither does Casey.

I am not complaining mind you.  I have been very blessed.
Pregnancy has been a breeze for me!
I would recommend it to anyone.  If I can do it - so can you!
God knew I was fearful of being pregnant -
"fear of the unknown" - so I think he took it easy on me!

I didn't start to put on weight until the the 3rd trimester, I have
had very few days of swollen body parts (I am still in my wedding ring!), I have had
very little cravings + very little heartburn.  In fact all things I was "warned" about
in the books I read, I really didn't experience first hand.

Look out Duggar Family!  Ok, we won't be having 19 kids, but my
experience, so far, has been so good I would definitely do this again.
One baby at a time though!

Now we have our eyes set on labor and delivery.  The next 4 weeks or so will fly by I am sure.
We are anxious to see when God thinks Lucas is ready to join us in person.
We can only hope that it will go as smoothly as the last 9 months.
We will keep you posted.

P.S. Casey's sister's due date is this Friday!  Please keep April, Heath + Preston in your prayers.

Obsession: Baby Products Part II

I just came across the cutest website (Kitsel.com) with boy onesies + tshirts thanks to CoolMomPicks.com - a blog I follow.

With only 42 days to go...Lucas is constantly on my mind.  Here are some of my favorites that made me giggle outloud:
Lifelong Republican.
(I can just see Casey putting Lucas in this one!)

I have more friends on facebook than you.
(LOL.  Facebook is such a funny medium to me.  Lucas will definitely have more "friends" than we do!)

Free Gas $0.00.
(I wonder if they make this in Casey's size too!? That way they can match.)
(I loved Cracker Jacks growing up.  This takes me back...)

Brady without training wheels!

A few weekends ago we were over at Chris + Megan's and we got a chance to see Brady show off his new skills of riding a bike without training wheels!  He hasn't mastered starting or stopping yet, but we didn't see him kiss the concrete once!  Pretty impressive for a 4 year old, right?

Look out world he is on the move!

Chris giving Brady a push.
He's off!
Watch out for the tree!

Maternity Photos.

Casey and I wanted to make sure we documented every moment of this pregnancy.
That is easier said then done.
I can't believe we are already at week 33.

Last weekend we went and got some photos taken of the THREE of us!
Although most of them were not our style, we did wind up with a few great shots
that we know we will cherish forever.

Here is just a sneak peek.  Once we get the prints we will be sure to share with the family.

Baby Clemmer: Lucas' 2nd Shower

My mom has some of the greatest friends in the world.  Almost 2 years ago, the same amazing women threw me a wedding shower.  It was hard to believe they were throwing me another shower already.  And this time for a baby!  If you can't tell I am still in shock Casey and I are going to be parents.

Thank you Mary Louise, Helen and Linda for out doing yourselves and throwing an absolutely perfect shower.  It was great to see some of Casey's family, co-workers and friends at the shower as well.

Here are a few pictures from Saturday of me opening presents.  Thank you cousin Jennie for being the photographer!

Tummy Time Gym.
Handmade Blanket from Susan.
BabyFood Maker from Grandma Reed.

I know there are other great pictures out there of the guests and hostesses.  Once I get my hands on them, I will be sure to post them.

Pregnancy Brain.

So I came up with this great idea last night that Casey and I would carpool to work today.  He needed to borrow my car and we have a tour at a day care tonight after work, so I said "let's carpool".  Keep in mind that Casey has to be at work an hour before I do, but I was fine with putting in some extra hours as March is very busy for us personally.  I figured sometime this month I will need to skip out of work early and this "extra" time would make up for it.

So at 6.50 AM, Casey pulls up to my office and immediately I grab my head and look at him saying, "I didn't bring my keys!"  I wasn't driving and he locked up the house so there was no need for keys, right?  WRONG!   I had to open up the office.  Poor Casey, almost in tears at the thought of having to leave his pregnant wife outside in 50 degree weather, left me on the sidewalk in front of my office.  There was no way we could go home - some 15 minutues away - as he had to get to work.  My co-workers would show up eventually.  Good thing we stopped for Starbucks first.  I had my coffee, breakfast, a snuggie (conveniently in my back seat), a beanie and catalogs from the mail the day before.  I was set!

Me and my bright ideas!  Some 45 minutes to an hour later, my coworker arrived.  I guess this is what they mean by "pregnancy brain" huh?

(I am actually alot happier than I look in the picture - afterall I had to make it look dramatic.  Pregnancy has made me a lot more happy, go lucky than I usually am.  Pre-pregnancy I would have been upset I forgot the keys, but pregnant me was happy to see the sun rise, drink my coffee and look at my catalog.  Go figure.)
