Homemade Baby Food.

think Lucas is starting to get this eating thing down.  Although I know he would rather stick to milk the rest of his life.  He doesn't know what he is missing.  A few weeks ago, we posted him eating cereal.  And although he hasn't really mastered that yet (some babies don't), I decided to try him on some vegetables.

I remember registering for our wedding a few years ago and seeing the Beaba Baby Food Maker.  I told Casey, when we have a kid I am registering for that!  Needless to say, I got one and finally put it to use.  It was so easy.  Eat your heart out Gerber!

 Green Beans.
They steam and puree all in the same bowl!
 Yummy!  Green Beans.  Not.
 Sweet Potatoes steaming.
 Now this looks good!
Then you place them in the container to freeze.
When it's time to feed Luke, I just pop one out, heat and serve.

Lucas made some funny and not so funny faces when I tried to feed him a little bit today.  Is it normal for babies to not like food initially?  Luke has to keep up on his eating or he will lose the "chubby baby award" that everyone gives him.  I mean everyone - strangers and all - have no problem telling me how my baby never misses a meal.  I just tell them I make ice cream instead of milk!
