Baby Clemmer: Lucas' 1st Shower!

My sister-n-laws hosted an absolutely perfect baby shower for me at Chris & Megan's house.  It was great to have family and friends together to help celebrate Lucas.  We got so many beautiful things.  Thank you to all my girls for coming out and spending time with us.  And a big thanks to Megan for hosting it in her beautiful home!  Here are a few pictures of the shower.

Baby Bump - Watch Us Grow Updated!

Here we are at 7 months!  Hard to believe we have hit week 31 and only have 62 days to go!  We will be blessed with our little one in just two months.  Check out the photos below to see how we have grown since month 4.

Lucas' Room: The Furniture

Casey and I agreed on baby furniture right away.  My husband is so easy to get along with.  We walked into  Babies R Us, both pointed at the same one and called it a day.  No comparison shopping for us!  It's a good thing b/c like most men, Casey does not like to shop.  Nevermind how difficult it was to get the furniture home - we had to rent a Home Depot Truck for an hour - and nevermind how hard it was to get the furniture up to the second floor - 7 months pregnant Casey wouldn't let me help.  I sure hope Baby Lucas appreciates his new digs!  To see pictures from the rest of his room click here and here.

The finished crib!  The best part is the crib is convertible - i.e. it goes from crib, to a toddler bed to a twin bed.  I just hope it lasts that long!

The matching dresser/changing table combo.  This was already put together for Casey.  Lucky him right?  Nope!  You try getting that piece of furniture up 2 flights of stairs with no help.  My strong man!

Lucas' room is slowing coming together.  Cute white sheet with brown polka dots I found on sale at Gap Maternity and an adorable brown blanket that says "little punk" thanks to a Target gift card!

Baby Bump Comparison: Preston vs. Lucas

April, Casey's sister, and I are only a month apart.  I am so excited that Lucas will have a cousin so close to his age.  Afterall Brady,my nephew, is already 4 years old!  When April and I get together we try to get a photo of us comparing our belly bumps.  We should have taken one over Christmas, but didn't.  See how far we have come since Thanksgiving!

Baby Jones: Preston's 1st Shower

This past weekend I had the honor of being at my sister-n-laws first baby shower.  I am just so excited for April and Heath.  They are such awesome people and baby Preston is so lucky to have them as parents.  Here are some pictures from her shower.

Lucas' Room: The Walls

We are still in the process of working on Lucas' Room, but getting closer... here are a few new pictures (click here to see orignal photos)

Almost everything in his room so far has been a hand-me-down or refurbished from another room in the house.  The rug was under our dining room table at our rental house, but in Lucas' room is seems like it was meant to be there all a long.  A steal of a find from Bed, Bath & Beyond some 2 years ago.

The rocking chair in the corner is from my late MaMa - my dad's mom.  When she passed away I got a few of her things.  This chair will be great in his room.  The ottoman is from a chair that my mom and dad had while I was growing up.  They have kindly donated it to Lucas' room.  I can't wait to sit and hold Lucas in it.

The walls of the nursery are finally come together.  Here are the letters we made for Lucas on the striped wall.
