Baby Lucas: 1 Year Old.

Well it happened.  My baby turned 1.  In a blink of an eye, my itty-bitty-baby is now a big boy.  We had a small intimate party for him with the family.  The theme for his first birthday - monkey.

THE (cup)CAKE:
First he squished it in his hands.

Then he spread it around.

So mommy had to convince Luke to taste it.

"This is good!"

It is amazing how fast a year can go by.  We love you Lucas.  We cannot imagine life without you.  We know you won't remember this first birthday, but hope you felt the love from our entire family.  You will always be our baby.

Bear Creek Park.

After church on Sunday and before I had to be at work,
the three of us went and had lunch at Bear Creek Park.
This is a park down the way from our house that has live "exotic" animals at it.
Sort of like a zoo, but you don't have to pay for it.

Lucas is growing up so fast and I feel like there is never enough time as a family.

It was nice to steal an hour with just the three of us.

Photo Shoot: Lucas Turns 1.

I took Lucas out back again for a photo shoot.
I still can't believe he is going to turn one this week.
Where did my baby boy go?

I remember taking his first photo shoot when he was only a few weeks old.

Luke just 3 weeks old.

DIY: Baby Rocking Chair.

My parents have a storage shed with a handful of items from when I was a baby in it.  We are slowly getting these items to our house.  First up, a baby rocking chair.
I remember sitting in this when I was a kid.  I also remember putting my stuffed animals in it when I got older.  Now I get to put my baby boy in it.

Here are the before pictures:

Lucas - I see you!

The Clemmer side of the family came to see Thread in its new space on Saturday.  The boys got to play together in the Ok Kid Corral.  I think Preston liked it there.  Come play with us again Preston!  Lucas loved having you there.

MOPS @ Thread.

I hosted my MOPS group at the store on Thursday.  Moms and there kids came to the store for some play time and breakfast.  It was a bit chaotic.  The babies are all 18 months or younger and not quite playing with each other yet.  There were lots of tears, but lots of laughs too!  I enjoyed having the girls come to the store to see why I have been so busy.
