Goodbye Milkshop!

This weekend I returned to Milkshop for one last time.  The company, as you know, is going out of business.  They opened up their warehouse for a two day sale where customers could get their hands on some great designer deals.  It was fun to be working with the girls again.  A special thanks to my friends who came out and bought some clothes.  It was great to see you guys.

Here are a few shots from the event:

The 2010 Ikea Catalog Is Here!

If you know me at all... you know I L-O-V-E Ikea.  I first fell in love somewhere between high school and college.  I always assumed I would grow out of the "put-it-together-yourself-furniture" when I became and adult.  NOPE!

I was at Gran's house last week and saw "the book" on her coffee table and got so giddy!  She was kind enough to let me take it home.  Thanks Momma Kay!  I don't NEED anything from it, but it is so fun to look at.  I get lots of great ideas!

I got some cute pictures of Casey + Lucas perusing the catalog.  I don't think I am the only one that likes Ikea, do you?

Lucas + Casey picking out their favorites.

Luke exhausted from looking at the entire catalog.  I know how he feels.
It can be SO overwhelming.

Play Date w/ Preston

Casey + I had a mini-vaca up North to see the Grandparents.  We spent a few days with Grandma + PaPa Reed and then a few days with Gran + Grandpa Clemmer.  The added bonus was we got to have a play date with Preston and April too!  Here are a few pictures from their day together.

Sweet Baby Preston.

It is so great to see the boys together.  They are both continuing to grow + develop.  It is adorable to see them look at each other and I swear they were talking to each other too!

Trip to the library.

Today Lucas and I went to the local library for BabyTime.  At this 30 minute class we sang songs, read books and played parachute with other kids.  Lucas was by far the youngest, but I think he was entertained for the most part.  The other moms "oohhed and aahhed" when he smiled during one of the songs.  He won't be able to interact with the other babies for sometime, but it is nice to get him out of the house.  It is nice for me to talk to other moms too!

Here is a picture of Lucas as soon as we got back to the car.  He was so tired he wouldn't even let me fill out the library card application.  Apparently you still have to be quiet in the library.  A cranky baby was not welcome.  Oh well, next time we can check out some books.

Next week I will take a picture of the class.  Can you believe I forgot my camera in the car!?  So not like me.

Entertain me ... please!

Lucas is definitely more awake than asleep these days.  I am having to find new things to entertain him.  You can only sing the same songs, read the same books or play with the same toys for so long.  We recently busted out some of his "next step" toys.  Technically the boxes say he can't use the excer-saucer or Johnny Jump Up until he is 4 months.  But we gave it a shot.  Here is Lucas in his "jumper".

I guess the boxes were right - he couldn't quite support himself in either toy.  Hopefully by the time he turns four months this month, he will be able to support himself more.  We are looking forward to all the fun to come!

Outer Space.

After Lucas' morning nap, he was just chillin' in his pack-n-play.  He looked so cute and matched his sheets, I had to take a picture of course. He appeared to be in his own world.

Sitting up.

"Look at me Mommy."

"This doesn't feel right mommy."

"Daddy, quick take a picture!"

Lucas would rather be sitting (or standing for that matter) these days.  He is growing up way too fast.  Of course he still needs to be propped against something to sit, but we are working on those ab muscles.  He will have a six pack in no time and be sitting up all by himself.
