Baby Luke: 12 months old

Luke had a great check up at the doctor.  He is now on whole milk and can eat whatever we eat!  The doctor says he shouldn't be drinking out of a bottle anymore - but don't tell Luke that.  He is a good sleeper, gave up the pacifier around 9 months on his own and isn't that picky of an eater.  But trying to get him to drink his milk out of a sippy-cup - DRAMA.  He loves his bottle.  I have been working with him all week and he is starting to show some interest but we aren't completely off the bottle.  I hear it can take a few months for some babies.  Funny thing is he will drink water and his yogurt/juice mix out of a sippy-cup, but definitely feels milk should be in a bottle.  I guess I don't blame him.

Easter Sunday.

We had a quiet Easter, just the three of us.  Since Luke turned 1 the day before, we decided to keep it low key. It was nice b/c this was the first Sunday in a long time we have gotten to hang out all day as a family.  We went to church and then played with our 1 year old.

Baby Lucas: 1 Year Old.

Well it happened.  My baby turned 1.  In a blink of an eye, my itty-bitty-baby is now a big boy.  We had a small intimate party for him with the family.  The theme for his first birthday - monkey.

It is amazing how fast a year can go by.  We love you Lucas.  We cannot imagine life without you.  We know you won't remember this first birthday, but hope you felt the love from our entire family.  You will always be our baby.

Bear Creek Park.

After church on Sunday and before I had to be at work,  

the three of us went and had lunch at Bear Creek Park.  

This is a park down the way from our house that has live "exotic" animals at it.  

Sort of like a zoo, but you don't have to pay for it.

Preston Turns 1!

Boy, how fast a year goes by.  Can you believe the boys are already 1?!  We helped cousin Preston celebrate his first birthday on Saturday.  It was so much fun.
